Early Childhood Education Grants

"The Early Childhood Education Grant is given to high-quality preschools to help prepare four-year old children for kindergarten. Programs in high-needs areas of the state are awarded the grants. Programs that receive the grants include public preschool programs, chartered non-public schools, private preschool programs, Head Start programs, child care centers and family child care homes. In order for your child to qualify for the grant he or she must be four years old at the beginning of the school year. Your family must also meet income requirements. If your child is four and on an Individualized Education Plan, your child can attend without your family meeting income requirements."
